Your guide to the platform

Welcome to the DreamSteps user guide

Let's learn how to use DreamSteps together. Here you'll find a complete walkthrough with simple explanations and examples, from adding your idea to using your reports, finding customers, creating content and planning ads. Start below and go at your own pace.

Read in order or choose a topic from the menu.

Let's follow an example together

Throughout this guide, we will follow Agenda Fácil: a fictional booking app for small salons. Think of a place to organize appointments and send customers reminders. In your account, you will follow the same steps with your own idea.

Part 1

Sign in and add your idea

To get started, all you need is a Google account and an idea. In DreamSteps, each idea has its own space, called an MVP. This is where you organize your planning.

  1. Sign in to your account

At the top of this page, click Go to my dashboard (or Dashboard on mobile). If you haven’t signed in yet, use your Google account.

  2. Create a space for your idea

On the My MVPs dashboard, click New MVP.

  3. Give it a name

Enter a name of up to 30 characters, such as Agenda Fácil, and confirm with Create MVP.

  4. Open your idea

Click the card with the name you chose. You'll see the stages of your plan.

What happens next

Your idea is saved. The first stage, Initial Summary, is ready for you to start.

After creating it, open the Agenda Fácil card to get started.

How do I delete an idea?

At the top of the MVP page, use Delete MVP and confirm. The MVP's interviews, reports and tools are removed and the action cannot be undone. Download anything you want to keep first.

What are shared MVPs?

If someone invites you to an MVP's team, it appears under Shared MVPs on the dashboard. You only open its Business Management, according to your role (Manager, Editor or Viewer).

Can I use it in English?

Yes. Use the language switcher at the top of this guide (or Settings) to switch between Portuguese and English; the choice applies to the whole platform.

Part 2

Answer questions about your idea

Here, an interview is a conversation with artificial intelligence, or AI. It asks questions to understand your idea and uses your answers to prepare a report.

  1. Start with the available stage

On an available stage, select Start interview and choose By message or, when enabled on your plan, Talk to a consultant. The Start button appears only on extra reports.

  2. Share what you know

In message mode, read the question, write your answer and send it. In voice mode, answer by speaking. Use your own words and give everyday examples.

  3. Ask for guidance if you're unsure

You can reply: “I'm not sure yet. Can you help me think this through?”. You don't need to have everything decided.

  4. Wait for your report

The screen shows Question X of Y: keep answering until the last one. Then it tracks the report's progress and opens the document when it's ready.

What happens next

You receive a document with the information organized during the conversation. Once it's ready, the next interview becomes available.

Static example

A question, answered in your own words

DreamSteps asks

Who do you want to help, and what problem do they face?

2

I want to help small salons that book appointments through WhatsApp. Messages get mixed up and sometimes two customers end up with the same slot.

3

If you're unsure, you can write:

I'm not sure yet. Can you help me think this through?

4Agenda Fácil · Initial Summary

At the end of the conversation, your answers become a report.

What are the six interviews about?

You take them one at a time. Each conversation helps organize one part of your idea.

  1. Initial Summary

Organize your idea and the problem you want to solve.

  2. Validation

Think about who needs your idea and how to understand them.

  3. Shark Tank Report

Look at the idea's strengths and the questions that still need answers.

  4. Marketing & Personas

Plan how to introduce your idea and reach the right people.

  5. Operational Report

Think about what the business needs to run day to day.

  6. Financial Model

Organize prices, costs and ways to earn money.

What about the three extra reports?

After the Operational Report, you can also create these materials. They use what you've already shared, without a new interview. Open the stage and click Start; each report costs 100 credits.

  • Sales Script

A guide for conversations with potential customers.

  • Editorial Calendar

A schedule of topics for your posts.

  • Metrics & North Star

Suggestions on what to track to see whether the business is moving forward.

Is it taking a while, or did an error appear?

If the page offers Refresh status, use it to check the same report's progress. If you see Try generating again, you can reuse your saved answers. Restart deletes the answers in the current conversation: use it only if you want to answer everything from scratch. If something fails for a technical reason, use Report error to let the team know.

Can I answer by speaking?

Choose Talk to a consultant, when enabled on your plan, and select the circle labeled Click to start. Allow microphone access and talk to the stage’s AI consultant. If you cannot use voice in this browser, select Restart at the top to choose By message. The screen shows the question, progress and remaining time. The four bottom buttons let you Mute (the crossed-out microphone turns red), open Conversation for the transcript, Restart and Finish. The waves around the circle follow the consultant’s speech. Pause and save, at the top, closes the connection without losing progress; select the circle to resume. Muting does not pause the timer. After at least one saved answer, you can finish and confirm report generation from the collected information, with missing details identified. The report also starts when the questions are complete or time runs out. Initial limits are 15 minutes on Free, 20 on Pro and 30 on Max, configurable and accumulated across reconnections. Everything is included in the 100 credits, with no extra charge for resuming or finishing. Restart the interview to change modes. In message mode, the microphone lets you dictate and edit individual answers for free.

Part 3

Read and edit your report

A report brings the information about your idea together in a document. Take your time reading it and change anything that doesn't match what you want to do.

  1. Open the document

On a completed stage, click View report. The text is in the Report tab.

  2. Make your changes

Click Edit report. You can change the title and the text; when you save, the canvas and presentation are marked out of date until you regenerate them.

  3. Keep your changes

When you're done, click Save changes.

  4. Take a copy with you

Use Download PDF to save a copy of the current report to your device.

What happens next

The saved text becomes the current version of your report. You can return to read or edit it whenever you need.

4Download PDF

Your saved text appears the next time you open the report.

How do I check or recover an earlier version?

Open Edit report and check History. Pick the version you want and use Restore to return to it (History shows each version's date). Then check the View and share your plan chapter to see whether the canvas and presentation need updating.

What's the difference between redoing the interview and regenerating?

Redo interview lets you answer the questions again. Regenerate, in the Report tab toolbar, creates another report, canvas and presentation using your saved answers and current business details. The confirmation shows Regenerate for 50 credits. Current versions are only replaced when the new set is successfully completed.

Part 4

Tell us more about your business

The Business facts page is a form with the current information about your idea. It helps the AI take changes into account in future content and conversations.

  1. Open the form

Inside your MVP, click Business facts.

  2. Fill in what you already know

Describe what you offer, who you want to serve, the problem you solve, what makes your idea different and how you plan to charge. Use the notes for anything else.

  3. Ask the AI for a suggestion if you like

Once you have at least one report, you can use Fill with AI. It suggests answers based on your saved reports. A suggestion costs 50 credits.

  4. Review and save

Read every field, correct anything you need to and click Save facts. Do this when using an AI suggestion too.

What happens next

Your saved details guide future content and conversations. Existing reports keep the text they already had.

What should I do when my idea changes?

Update the form and save it. If a report shows a review notice, open the document and edit the text to reflect the change. The form's History shows each version's date and lets you Restore one of them.

Part 5

View and share your plan

Besides the text, you can explore a canvas: a board that organizes the main information about your business. The Presentation shows your idea as a set of slides.

  1. Choose how to view the content

Inside a report, open the Business view tab for the canvas or Presentation for the slides.

  2. Download it to use elsewhere

Export the canvas as a PNG image or download the presentation as a PDF using the options in its tab.

  3. Share when you're ready

Use Share to copy a public link. Anyone with that link can see the content. The link only covers the visual in the open tab (canvas or presentation) and can be revoked at any time through the broken-link icon, Revoke public link.

  4. See your canvases together

Return to the MVP page and open Full business view. It brings together the canvases from the reports you have already generated.

What happens next

You have other ways to check your plan and explain your idea to someone, using images, slides or a link.

I edited the report. Should I update the canvas and slides?

Yes. Editing or restoring a report can leave its old visuals with an out-of-date notice. Links you shared to those visuals stop working. Use the regenerate option to create a version based on the current text; check the cost shown on screen. You can then share it again.

Part 6

Ask the advisors for help

The advisors are AI assistants that use your MVP's reports, business facts and saved decisions to suggest ways forward. Each one helps with a different subject. You can also record decisions, revisit earlier conversations and take copies of your conversations with you.

To use them, be the MVP Owner, have Pro or Max and all six interviews completed, through Financial Model. The three extra reports are not required.

  1. Open the advisors area

On the MVP page, under Business Management, click the Advisors card.

  2. Choose a subject

Select the advisor that fits your question. The examples show what each one can help with.

  3. Give your question some context

Explain what you're trying to decide. For example: “I have two weeks to test Agenda Fácil. Where should I start?”. You can also click a suggested question, edit the text and send it when you're ready.

  4. Hear from everyone if you need to

Open the Board tab and send your question to receive the advisors' perspectives and a summary. To review specific advice, use Ask the Board to evaluate on an advisor's response and check your question before confirming the send.

  5. Call a consultant

In the current CEO, CMO, CTO, CFO or Investor conversation, click Call and allow the microphone. The call fills the window and costs 300 credits per five minutes. The automatic text introduction still costs 10 credits. Available to the MVP owner on Pro or Max with six required reports and voice enabled for the plan.

What happens next

Read the advice, compare it with your situation and choose what makes sense. Use Save decision on a response to record your choice and next step. Once saved, the decision guides future responses from all advisors for that MVP.

A question for the board

Should I start with just the salons in my neighborhood?

You receive five viewpoints and a summary to compare their suggestions.

How do I use suggested questions?

Each advisor and the Board offer three suggestions when the message field is empty, you are viewing the current conversation and no response is being generated. Clicking a suggestion only fills the field: you can edit it before sending. Choosing a suggestion is free; credits are charged when you send the question to generate a response.

How do I record and track my decisions?

On a saved response, including one in History, click Save decision. Enter your decision and, optionally, the rationale and next step. For example: “Test Agenda Fácil with three salons before investing in ads”. Saving and editing are free. In MVP decisions, you can edit, complete, archive and reopen decisions. In progress decisions guide next steps; Completed ones remain as past decisions. Archived ones no longer guide new responses. Decisions are shared across that MVP's advisors and stay saved when you restart a conversation. They do not automatically change Business facts or reports.

Can the AI help fill in a decision?

Yes. In the decision form, Fill with AI — 10 credits creates a proposal based on the selected advice and the previous question, if available. The confirmation explains that generation will replace the draft fields; cancelling preserves what you wrote. Once the suggestion arrives, review and edit the fields, then click Save decision. Only saving makes the decision available to your advisors. A valid suggestion uses credits even if you discard it.

How do I bring advice to the Board?

On an individual advisor's response, click Ask the Board to evaluate. This also works with responses in History. The dialog shows the original advice and lets you edit your question. Only Send to Board — 30 credits confirms the send and opens the current Board conversation. The advice is included as a reference for the Board to evaluate. Cancelling uses no credits and does not erase the original conversation.

What happens when I restart a conversation?

In the current conversation, click Restart and read the confirmation. The previous session stays in History, organized by advisor with its date, time and preview. You can read it, but you cannot resume or restore it. Use Back to current conversation to continue chatting. Restarting is free, but an individual advisor automatically generates a new analysis for 10 credits. The Board waits for your next question, which costs 30 credits. Completed responses are not refunded. The button is available when the current conversation has messages and no operation is in progress.

How do I copy responses or download a conversation?

Use Copy reply on a saved response. For the Board, the copy includes the summary and every perspective, even when collapsed. In the header, the Download PDF and Download Markdown buttons save the session you are viewing (Markdown is a text file with simple formatting). This works for the current conversation and History. The file includes saved messages, dates, authors, perspectives and advice forwarded to the Board. Drafts and responses still being generated are not included. Copying and exporting are free.

How do call time and controls work?

Use Mute, Conversation (transcript), Pause or End. Waves follow only consultant speech. Silence, a muted microphone and waiting consume time. Pausing preserves the remainder for free resumption; saved chat messages are marked as voice. After five minutes, audio closes and only Continue — 300 credits purchases five more minutes. Insufficient balance leaves the call paused. Ending or leaving forfeits remaining seconds without prorated billing. Network drops pause and preserve the remainder. The consultant uses reports, Business data, decisions and history; calls do not generate reports. Your preferred language is saved at the start. Calls are unavailable in Board or History.

Part 7

Find and prepare customer outreach

Prospecting appears under Business Management, below your MVP reports. It finds companies and professionals with public business information and organizes each lead (potential customer) in a pipeline of follow-up stages — a contact list also called a CRM.

Available on Pro and Max after all six required interviews.

  1. Search for leads

Choose target type, region, audience, offer, segment, required contact, quantity (up to 10 leads), minimum sources, fit signals and exclusions. A search costs 100 credits only when it adds at least one new lead.

  2. Prepare messages

Qualify the lead in the pipeline, assign an owner, record notes and generate one to three email or WhatsApp variants for 50 credits. Generated material stays saved on the lead.

  3. Track contact

Select the primary variant, copy or open the app, and check The customer was contacted on the lead. Owners can invite the team; Managers can also configure the pipeline, export and delete leads.

What happens next

Copy contentOpen app

Copying or opening the app doesn't send anything by itself: sending stays manual.

What happens if a search finds no new leads?

The 100 credits are fully refunded when no new lead is added, even if the response only contains duplicates. The Searches history shows the credits charged or refunded for each search, and Search again reuses the same criteria.

Can I ask the AI to fill in the search criteria or the message objective?

Yes. Fill with AI — 50 credits, on the search or on a material, replaces the draft fields with a suggestion, but nothing is saved until you click Save. A valid suggestion is charged even if you discard it.

Why do I need to provide a source for the email or phone?

Any contact you edit by hand needs a public URL where it appears. Editing the email clears its source; editing the phone clears its source and unchecks the WhatsApp confirmation. Leads found by search already come with these sources filled in.

Why is the button to open WhatsApp disabled?

Opening WhatsApp requires checking This phone is WhatsApp on the lead and a number in international format starting with + (e.g. +55). Without that, or without a valid email, use Copy content instead. Opening the app never marks the lead as contacted — that stays manual.

How do team roles work?

Owners invite Managers, Editors and Viewers with a verified Google email; the invite expires in seven days. Whoever receives it opens the email link and confirms acceptance on the invitation page. Editors use AI and edit leads; Managers also configure the pipeline, export and delete; Viewers are read-only. Any AI operation a team member runs is billed to the Owner's balance and uses the Owner's configuration.

Part 8

Create images and content for your brand

Content creation uses your MVP's reports and visual material to prepare graphic elements, single posts and carousels with AI.

To use it, you must be the MVP Owner, have a Pro or Max plan and complete all six required interviews. The three extra reports are not required.

  1. Open content creation

On the MVP page, click the Content creation card. You'll see your saved visual material and the three available content types.

  2. Build your brand visual material

Under Brand visual material, add up to 9 JPEG, PNG or WebP images per theme — Primary theme, Secondary theme and Tertiary theme — each no larger than 5 MB. Logos, product photos and other references stay saved in the MVP and can guide future content.

  3. Choose the content type

Use Graphic element creation for brand visuals, Single Instagram post for an image and caption, or Carousel post for a sequence of slides.

  4. Describe what you want to create

Describe what you want to create, or use Fill with AI or Improve with AI for 50 credits. Review the suggestion. Choose which visual material to use in the generation: Primary theme, Secondary theme, Tertiary theme or No material — the primary theme is already selected when material is saved. You can also upload reference images: they guide the AI suggestion, are used for this generation only and deleted afterwards.

  5. Choose a format or number of slides

For a graphic element or post, choose square, portrait or landscape. For a carousel, choose from 3 to 6 slides. Check the cost on the button, then start the generation.

  6. Review and download the result

Open each image and use Download image. A single post and carousel also include a suggested caption for you to review and use. For a carousel, download each slide in the order shown.

What happens next

You receive images ready to download: 4 variants of a graphic element or post, or a carousel with the number of slides you selected. Use the result as a starting point and check its text, branding and details before publishing.

What's the difference between brand material and reference images?

Brand visual material stays saved in the MVP so you can reuse it, organized into themes (primary, secondary and tertiary). You can also upload up to 3 JPEG, PNG or WebP reference images, each no larger than 5 MB. They guide the AI suggestion and inspire only the current generation, and are deleted afterwards. Pick the theme (or No material) when generating; the primary theme is already selected when material is saved.

How much does each creation cost?

A graphic element or single post creates 4 images for 240 credits, equal to 60 credits per image. A carousel creates from 3 to 6 slides and costs from 180 to 360 credits, depending on the number you choose. Filling or improving a brief with AI costs 50 credits.

Where can I find an earlier creation?

The page shows only the latest request for each content type. Download any images and caption you want to keep before starting a new generation.

Part 9

Plan your ad campaigns

In Ads, the AI researches the market and organizes a plan for Google Search, Instagram and Facebook, or LinkedIn while respecting the audience and budget you provide.

To use it, you must be the MVP Owner, have a Pro or Max plan and complete all six required interviews. The three extra reports are not required.

  1. Start a new plan

On the MVP page, click the Ads card. In the planner, use New plan to open the form.

  2. Set the objective, channels and budget

Choose whether you want lead generation, sales, traffic, awareness or engagement. Select one or more channels, choose the currency and provide the monthly budget you plan to invest. If you want, enter the region as well.

  3. Describe the audience and offer

Explain who you want to reach and what you will advertise. If you prefer, use Fill with AI or Improve with AI for 50 credits: the suggestion can also adjust the region, besides the audience and offer, using your reports and Business facts. Review the fields before continuing.

  4. Generate the plan

Click Generate plan. Creation costs 100 credits and can take a few minutes while the AI researches the market, gathers sources and prepares recommendations for each channel.

  5. Review and use the recommendations

Review the audience, budget allocation, KPIs, sources, keywords and copy. You can copy content, edit and save the plan, view or restore versions, and regenerate one channel for 50 credits. On channels that offer Generate creative, use it to send a brief to Content creation.

What happens next

You receive a plan organized by channel, with guidance for setting up your campaigns and content you can copy or edit. Plans stay saved in the MVP for you to review.

5CopyEditGenerate creative

Copy, edit and take the plan to the ad platform: publishing is not automatic.

Does the plan put my ads live?

No. The tool creates the plan and copy, but it does not send or publish campaigns on Google, Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. You still buy the media, configure the account and publish the campaign on each platform yourself.

What can I change after generation?

Use Edit to adjust the audience, offer, budget allocation and each channel's content. Saving creates a version you can view and restore. To redo just one channel with AI, use Regenerate channel — 50 credits; the rest of the plan is kept.

Why does the plan say its sources changed?

This notice appears when the reports or Business facts used as context were changed after generation. The saved plan remains available. Review the changes and create a new plan or regenerate the channel that needs updating.

Part 10

Send automatic e-mails to your customers

In E-mail campaigns, the AI writes and schedules a sequence of 1:1 messages for the leads you collected in Prospecting. Each lead receives each step at most once, on the day and time you choose.

To use it: have edit permission on the MVP (Owner, Manager or Editor), a Pro or Max plan and the six required interviews. The three extra reports are not required.

  1. Open the E-mail campaigns card

On the MVP page, click the E-mail campaigns card and create a campaign with its name, time zone, daily limit and the option to skip weekends. Save the campaign to continue.

  2. Set the sender

Fill in the display name, the signature and the postal address used in the footer. Fill with AI suggests all three for 50 credits; the address is only suggested when it exists in your reports and business facts.

  3. Build the sequence

Add 1 to 20 steps with days after enrollment, time and objective. Use Fill with AI (50 credits) to generate the campaign name and each step's objective. The first step starts marked Review before — sending waits for your approval.

  4. Enroll eligible leads

Pick leads from Prospecting that have an e-mail and its source. Each lead stays in a single active campaign and respects unsubscribes and blocks. Click Save journey before enrolling.

  5. Activate the campaign

With the journey saved and leads enrolled, click Activate. Only active campaigns send; pausing stops new sends immediately.

  6. Approve the first-contact review

When a step asks for review, open First contact review and click Approve and send (or Reject, which pauses that lead).

  7. Track and reply

Pause, resume or archive the campaign and track sends, replies, bounces and unsubscribes. When someone replies, that lead's journey pauses and the message is forwarded to your e-mail.

What happens next

Enrolled leads receive each step on the defined day and time, with per-lead tracking. The AI writes the content from your reports, business facts and each step's objective — you review before sending when you want.

Does the campaign send on its own?

Yes, while it is Active and the send reaches its scheduled time. DreamSteps sends through the verified campaigns domain and handles unsubscribes; pausing the campaign stops new sends immediately.

What happens when the lead replies?

That lead's journey pauses automatically and the reply is forwarded to your e-mail. You answer from your e-mail, like a normal conversation.

How does unsubscribe work?

Every message carries an unsubscribe link in the footer. Unsubscribing stops campaigns from your account only, without affecting other leads.

What do the campaign states mean?

Draft does not send yet; Active sends at the planned times; Paused stops sends; Archived ends the campaign. With no credits, sends are blocked and resume automatically after the weekly renewal.

Part 11

Understand your credits

Credits are the balance you use to ask the AI to create new content. You don't need to spend credits to read materials that are already saved.

  1. Check what you have

Your balance appears at the top of your account area.

  2. Check the cost before using the AI

Look at the amount shown on screen. The table explains how much each kind of request uses.

  3. Follow your plan's renewal

Credits renew each weekly cycle according to your plan. In the Store, you can check weekly amounts and subscription options.

What happens next

You can choose when to use the AI and keep reading and editing your materials even with no credits left.

My report is taking a while. What should I do?

Creating a report can take a few minutes. If you see Refresh status, click it to check progress. If you see Try generating again, use it to reuse your saved answers. You don't need to restart the conversation.

The advisor is still “Thinking”. What should I do?

A response can take several minutes. Wait while it is being generated. If the connection drops or you see a connection error, refresh the page in the same tab to resume checking the pending request. If the page says the time limit was reached or recovery failed, your question returns to the field and reserved credits are refunded; review the text and send it again only if you want to. If the problem continues, contact Support.

The conversation was restarted in another tab. How do I continue?

The page tries to load the current conversation automatically. If a synchronization error appears, refresh the page. The previous session stays in History. If you were forwarding advice to the Board, review your question and confirm the send again in the current conversation.

I've run out of credits. Have I lost my materials?

Your saved materials are still available to read and edit. To ask the AI for new content, wait for the weekly renewal or check plan options in the Store.

The AI filled in my form. Do I need to do anything else?

Yes. Check the fields and click Save facts. Until you save, the suggestion doesn't change your business details. A completed suggestion uses credits even if you decide to discard it.

Why does my canvas or presentation say it's out of date?

The report's text changed, but the visual still uses the earlier version. Use the regenerate option and check the cost on screen. Old links stop working. After updating, you can share again.

I saw “Report error”. What is it for?

When something fails for a technical reason, the Report error button appears. It opens a Support ticket with the technical details of what happened; you can describe what you did before sending. The team replies in Support. Form or input mistakes do not show the button: in those cases, fix the field and try again.

How does the free Max trial work?

Eligible accounts can activate 7 days of Max without a card, once, from the dashboard prompt. The trial unlocks Max features for the period; when it ends, the account returns to the previous plan (or Free) and saved data stays available.

How do I delete an idea or my data?

To delete an idea, open the MVP and use Delete MVP in the header — that MVP's interviews, reports and tools are removed and the action cannot be undone. To delete your account or exercise privacy rights, open a ticket in Support (see the Privacy Policy).

My campaign is not sending. What should I check?

Check that the campaign is Active, the journey is saved and leads are enrolled. Steps marked Review before wait for your approval in First contact review. With no credits, sends are blocked and resume after the renewal; replies, bounces and unsubscribes pause that lead.

The team invite expired. Now what?

Invites last seven days. Ask the Owner or a Manager for a new invite on the prospecting Team page.

I closed the page during a paid generation. Did I lose it?

No. AI operations are resumable: return to the tool and use Check again (or reload the page). The same operation continues where it stopped, with no new charge.

Ready to add your idea?

Open your dashboard and click New MVP. If a question comes up, return to the matching topic in this guide.
